Kindergarten „Vaivorykste“ is a provider of pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and pre-school education. The goal of kindergarten level education is to help children to develop skills that are neccessary for successful school-level education. The main goals are: - To improve the quality of services by looking for a variety in education models and by applying novelties. - To improve teachers‘ professional competences by improving their partnership and leadership skills. - To create healty and safe environment in the kindergarten. Kindergarten „Vaivorykste“ was established in 1979. There are 9 groups. The institution has 150 pupils and 21 teachers. Kindergarten has safe and healthy environment and pre-school and kindergarten groups are supplied with educational and visual tools and instruments. Since 2009 the kindergarten is Catholic. The kindergarten offers a variety of activities: basketball practices, dancing and English language activities, arts and theatre studios. The priorities are: - To develop education-related services and to improve the quality of education. - To improve the culture and stand of the kindergarten in the community. - To create a modern and an open institution. Since 2002, the kindergarten is a part of the Lithuanian health-improving school network. Since 2004, the kindergarten is a center for international programme „Zipio draugai“. Since 2019, the kindergarten is the school promoting health. From 2012 to 2014 the kindergarten participated in the Comenius parternship project „Common Future“. From 2018 to 2019 the kindergarten participated in the international project "Say hello to the World". Also, we implemented the project "Year of Birds" in the platform eTwinning.
