About Organization
Associazione di Carità San Zeno Onlus is engaged in many different fields of action. Among them, we mention the following: YoungCaritas which covers a wide range of activities ctivities involving youth in general, like volunteering projects, service learning and non-formal learning projects, working with schools and other youth organisations, also European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+ projects in general. Rete Empori della Solidarietà (Solidal Stores network), which is a wide network involving public institutions and private charitable bodies in Veneto. The Solidal Store is a tool to takle food poverty and food surplus. It works mainly like an ordinary shop: beneficiaries can do their purchases in complete autonomy, but instead of money they use a rechargeable card which works thanks to a system of points depending on their annual income. .Rete Citt.imm (Immigrant citizens network) with information desks providing counseling to Italian and foreign citizens regarding entry, legal stay, residence permit, etc. The info desks provide information about health, home, work, social care services, education and training too. Education First - Children Sponsorship Program supporting education for all in Albania, Bangladesh, Georgia and Guinea Bissau fostering the improvement of education systems for the whole community . The program aims at giving financial support to Education Insitutions and sustaining capacity building and training programs for teachers. Caritas network is inspired by the Gospel and the Catholic Social Teaching. The inviolable dignity of the human person is its essential guiding principle. Nothing on earth is as sacred as man and woman, created in the image of God. Caritas network has a heartfelt commitment to understanding and fight against poverty and social exclusion. The network fosters integral human development, social justice and sustainable social systems. Therefore Associazione di Carità San Zeno Onlus advocates for and with people in need, in order to achieve a more just and inclusive society.
