Centro Social Paroquial de Nova Oeiras (CSPNO) is a private solidarity social institution that was funded in 2000. It’s an open structure to all the community that develop it’s daily action supporting children, young people, adults and elderly, providing care and the adequate solutions to every problem/situation, in order to contribute to the psychosocial well-being of the population. CSPNO action has the following guiding principles are: *Respect for the human dignity and the duty to contribute to it's moral, spiritual and cultural development; *Strengthen the sense of community, so that individuals, families and other groups of the parish, by engaging in working together, become promoters of their own valorisation; *Creation of Christian communication structures of goods and mutual aid and support to people in need, mobilizing for this purpose the necessary human and material resources. The CSPNO provides the following services to the local community: *Projeto Vida XXI - Tutoring Centre (children and young people) & organization of summer camps- 32 clients *Food Bank (families) - 61 families *Day Care Centre (elderly) - 30 clients *Home Support (elderly) - 169 clients in 2019 *Charity Shop & Project "Dar não custa" (selling second hand products for families in need) * Projecto “Sorri-Bebé” - for babies from 0 to 3 years old from families in need, promting their health & well being.
This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps. — Scope: Volunteering
