The International Diabetes Federation European Region (IDF Europe) is one of the seven regions of IDF. We are an inclusive and multicultural umbrella organization of 69 national diabetes associations in 44 countries across the European region, representing the national associations of people living with diabetes and healthcare professionals. Through our activities we aim to influence policy, increase public awareness and encourage health improvement, as well as promoting the exchange of best practices and high-quality information about diabetes throughout the region. On top of working with European and international organizations towards the development, implementation and monitoring of effective public policies for diabetes, we act as a united voices of diabetes associations at the European level, disseminate up-to-date evidence on diabetes, support awareness campaigns through a wide network of partners and stakeholders. Another important part of IDF Europe’s work is our youth chapter where we are determined to empower the next generation of young people with diabetes, through the Youth Leadership Camp and the inclusion of young advocates in our events and activities.
