About Organization
The “Collectif des Petits Chemins” is a non profit association and a school which aim is to promote the new pedagogies (inspired by several alternative pedagogies such as Freinet, Steiner, Montessori, Decroly…), tailored made according with the kids personalities and using the natural environment. The objective is to motivate the young children in learning while respecting as well their needs and rythms; and from this a fairer and more respectful world will be born. The school welcomes kids from 2 ½ years old until 12 years old. They are divided in two sections: the kinder garden for the kids from 2 ½ till 5 years old; and the primary school from 6 until 12 years old. Using new pedagogies, the teachers develop different types of activities developing and stimulating the 8 intelligences (linguistic, mathematical and logical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, spatial, kinaesthetic, musical and naturalist) thanks to outdoor activities, cooking, music, arts, walks… Its pedagogical project is also based on a link with the nature, education to peace and cooperation, the active involvement of the parents and the recognition and acceptance of the difference. Aside of the school, the association also organises or takes part in other local and social initiatives, such as Farmer markets, concerts, parties… The school has the policy to also be opened to kids meeting difficulties in a more classical type of schools due either to a disability situation either to a behavioural situation.
