Maison de la Culture Famenne-Ardenne

The Association "Maison de la Culture Famenne-Ardenne" (MCFA) has been the cultural center of Marche-en-Famenne since 1981. MCFA is located in the heart of the town and works with 14 other "affiliated" municipalities of the region of Luxemburg where activities can take place: Hotton, Rendeux, Erezée, Durbuy, La Roche, Libramont, Nassogne, Saint-Hubert, Tenneville, Wellin, Libin, Manhay, Daverdisse et Tellin. In this frame, the head office of the MCFA and its staff centralize the information and provide these smaller municipalities support in the management of their cultural activities. MCFA offers cultural activities. The social aim of MCFA is to participate actively in the collaboration of all the actors of its region active in the socio-cultural fields. Their mission is to spread the culture among a broad public by offering activities under various shapes and through different ways during which people can share and discover in order to reach a cohesive and dynamic cultural group in the community. The cultural center's public varies depending on the activities proposed and is therefore very diversified: adults; children (0-5 years); students; people with fewer opportunities;...The accessibility of its activities to a wide range of people is also part of MCFA's social missions. In the cultural center, the association offers many facilities and regular activities, such as: -Hundreds of cultural activities are proposed yearly: theatre shows (including for schools); music performances; dance; documentaries; cinema; circus, exhibitions; conferences; cultural mediations ; debates; workshops; holidays activities for children;... -A cultural brasserie called "Tiroir des Saveurs" where visitors can eat and drink responsible and local consumptions; -A social Vegetable Garden where people from various backgrounds can gather and cultivate good products.
