DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANIZATION: The Gaia Foundation performs tasks of: - Protection of animals avoiding their abuse - Strengthen compliance with legal regulations to prevent and condemn animal abuse. - Educate, raise awareness and disseminate solidarity values ​​to eliminate animal abuse - Promote solidarity volunteering. The work of the foundation contributes towards the mitigation of climate change, conservation, protection and sustainability of the environment and towards the awareness and awareness of a more inclusive, supportive and sensitive society, promoting values ​​of equality and non-discrimination, regardless of the species , race, skin color, gender, language, religion, nationality, ethnic or social origin, economic status, disability, sexual orientation, political opinion or any other nature. OBJECTIVES: The main objective of the foundation is to rescue, rehabilitate and provide decent living conditions to all animals that have been victims of abuse. In addition, as part of the solution to this problem, the foundation is committed to education, awareness and awareness of society in general about the importance of evolving towards a more empathic, supportive and inclusive society with our planet partners: non-human animals The foundation, through its multiple dissemination actions in social networks, digital and face-to-face campaigns, promotes values ​​of environmental sustainability and mitigation of climate change through healthy and sustainable food with the environment: food based on plant foods. TARGET GROUPS: The foundation has two target groups: A) Donors: They are people who contribute to the foundation through their donations. The foundation accepts both regular and regular donations. Currently the foundation has: 2,919 regular donors; 468 specific donors; 7,120 donors in the teaming platform. B) Volunteers: The foundation receives long-term volunteers (volunteers who collaborate in the work of the foundation for a certain time (min 30 days max 90 days)) and eventual volunteers (volunteers who collaborate in the work of the foundation once a month , periodically). Currently the foundation has: - 39 eventual volunteers. - 23 long-term volunteers. ORDINARY ACTIVITIES: 1) Open House Days: Guided tours starting from the green paths that are around the foundation, continuing to the facilities of the foundation and its inhabitants. The visits have a duration of 3 hours and in each session between 12 - 15 visitors participate. 2) Awareness and awareness talks: Organized talks in which both generic and technical content are delivered on: - Climate change and ways to mitigate it through food. - The conservation, protection and sustainability of the environment through waste minimization and management. - Equality and non-discrimination between the species that inhabit the planet. - The rights of animals, respect for dignity and the fight against animal abuse. - The sense of responsibility, community and solidarity before our planet and all the beings that inhabit it. 3) Participation in events: throughout the year, the foundation participates in multiple events, where it disseminates the work done by the foundation through promotional stands. Among the most prominent events, held annually, are: - Vegan Fair of Barcelona, - Sabadell VegFest, - 100% Animal Festival - Anniversary of the Foundation. 4) Volunteer training courses: Volunteer training courses are offered that include a theoretical part (4 teaching hours) and practice (8 practical hours). In training, the volunteer receives the necessary knowledge for the care and care of animals and the maintenance of infrastructure.
