About Organization
The Heydenmühle is located near a village called Otzberg, maybe 20 kilometers from Darmstadt. Since 1997 Adults with and wihtout disabilty are living together in 4 Residential groups. The Heydenmühle is an old mill in a beautifull landscape on the edge oft he Odenwald. All people with diasbilty are working in our workshops, like the weaving, the joinery, the laundry, the kitchen, the terrain care or the conveyor workshop. The voliunteers are helping in the workshops. They help the people wiht disability to be a part oft he working process. Beside the work we have cutural events. For example we play theater together with the volunteers and the people with disability. The volunteers help the People with disability in the morning and in the evening and support them in their all day living. Volunteers can support them in their free time to do their hobbies and the volunteers can even offer things themselves. All Volunteers are living at the Heydenmühle. The Heydenmühle is a place for living an d being creative. We try to support each other in every aspect and according to his or her abilities.
