About Organization
Center for rehabilitation Stancic is a public institution under the umbrella of the Ministry of Demography, Family, Youth and Social Policy. It was established with the fundamental role of ensuring that persons with disabilities enjoy the same standards of equality, rights and dignity as everyone else. With this understanding, Center provides highest quality of care in the form of permanent, weekly and temporary accommodation for 435 people with intellectual disabilities. In line with the process of transformation and deinstitutionalization, social services are being offered on several locations: Unit of organized housing Dugo Selo provides service of organized housing in 12 residential units, Unit of organized housing in Zagreb/Jelkovec in 8 units, Day Center Dugo Selo offers services of psychosocial support and early intervention for children with disabilities, while Day Center Vrbovec provides social services of residence, psychosocial support, counseling, and psychosocial support for foster parents and their users at the Dubrava Club. Given that the Center seeks to ensure independent community living for people with disabilities it is actively involved in many projects across European Structural and Investment funds and other international and national donors.
