About Organization
Miravita Innviertel is an important part of the social framework in the province of Upper Austria providing a housing project and workshop groups for persons with special needs. In Waldzell 48 handicapped persons are cared for in one living house and several workshop groups. 42 staff members are employed in different departments. - In our living house there is space for 14 handicapped persons living on two floors. There young volunteers can help in every day life activities and leisure time activities, such as going to the cinema or theatre, going for walks, biking, playing games or making music, going for one-day trips with the handicapped persons, i.e. going to the zoo or botanical gardens. It would also be possible to take part in short holidays with our clients, from 3 to 5 days. - Miravita also has several workshop groups in two different houses in Waldzell where the persons with special needs can produce different objects, such as wood group, garden group, braiding group, creative group, multi media group, cooking group. There young volunteers can help our clients either in the workshop group or do individual activities with them, e.g. going for walks, sports, playing games, talking.
