About Organization
JRS Kosovo was registered back in 2001 supporting specific communities in the country. JRS has a long experience in supporting landmine victims from 2001 till 2011. The main objective was to integrate landmine victims in Kosovar society. From 2011 on-going JRS Kosovo has its focus in supporting asylum seekers in Kosovo. Currently we have a great relationship with Governmental structures such as Ministry of Interior Affairs and all the Departments related to Migration and also with Social Service Centers who are in charge to offer social services to asylum seekers. JRS is part of the NGO network that is working with refugees in Kosovo such as with UNHCR and CRPK and KRCT. Main activities of JRS Kosovo are: pychosocial activities for asylum seekers; education and training; emergency response; health care support and more recently capacity building programme. Our main target group are asylum seekers and detainees in Kosovo. We are working closely with refugees who got granted the status in order to help them to integrate in Kosovar society.
