About Organization
Musalaha Ministry of Reconciliation is a non-governmental, not for profit organization focused on helping people of diverse backgrounds understand and cooperate towards a common goal. Musalaha encourages Israelis and Palestinians to engage in conflict resolution and conflict transformation by going through a process called, "Six Stages of Reconciliation." These stages help people in conflict to move passed their stereotypes of the "other" into a place of respect and justice one to another. We endeavor to be an encouragement and advocate of reconciliation, first among Palestinian and Israeli believers and then beyond to our respective communities. Musalaha also aims at facilitating bridge building among different segments of Israeli and Palestinian societies including Jews, Muslims, and Christians according to principles of reconciliation. Musalaha still remains the only faith-based organization actively working with Israelis and Palestinians in reconciliation and dealing with one of the most sensitive and difficult conflicts in the world. Musalaha’s peacebuilding projects have always taken place across religious borders and the organisation therefore brings expertise and experience in facilitating interfaith encounters, which is not only relevant but necessary in order to address solidarity in a fruitful manner. Musalaha Youth programs bring youth together to build relationships, learn principles of reconciliation, provide training in reconciliation leadership, and equip them with tools to become agents of change in their communities. Musalaha brings Israelis and Palestinians together on Desert Encounters, Reconciliation Leadership Trainings, Summer Camps and also is active in Community Development. Musalaha has reconciliation programs for children, youth, young adults, women, and community leaders.
