The Jewish Museum of Belgium in Brussels aims to open up the cultural and religious world of the Jewish people to a wider audience. Not only to foster understanding but to show how innovative Jewish culture, art and music can be. In times of growing discrimination, hatred and anti-Semitism a peaceful and dignified response is put forward through art, education and appropriate outreach. One of the regular educational activities includes the: ´Meet a Jew ‘project designed to undermine and destroy existing and persistent prejudices held against Jews. They hope to embody the widely varied expressions of Jewish identity as they express themselves in various artistic mediums. Their location in Brussels, at the heart of the European Union underscores their place in an ESC program. Because Brussels, by its very nature is a city of many creeds, colors and walks of life all of which are encouraged to visit the museum.
