About Organization
Fundación Tomillo was born in 1983 with the purpose of contributing to social improvement and personal development. Our activity is carried out by a multidisciplinary team of 222 professionals and 529 volunteers, who develop the different programs aimed at childhood, adolescence and family, as well as training, guidance and social and labor intermediation. Fundación Tomillo has the EFQM Quality Seal +500 points of excellence, it is analyzed by the Foundation Loyalty and audits your accounts annually. In 2017 it has been accredited as a Second Chance School. We work with people in situations of social difficulty, so that they take responsibility for their lives and participate actively, as levers of change, in their environment. Our main areas of intervention are aimed at: • Support School Success: We work to improve the educational performance and personal well-being of minors and adolescents, to prevent early leaving the classroom, through the development of educational itineraries comprehensive and individualized. • Improve Training and Access to Employment: We are a concerted Vocational Training Center and an accredited entity as a Second Chance School. We develop personalized training-labor itineraries; Formations techniques and skills designed and taught collaboratively with leading companies from different sectors; Y Individualized accompaniment throughout the insertion process, until job consolidation. • Promote the Entrepreneurial Spirit and Entrepreneurship: We develop entrepreneurial skills in young people and We facilitate the creation and consolidation of new companies, through training activities (Lean Startup Method and Learning by doing), mentoring, consulting and access to financing. • Innovate and measure the Social Impact: We carry out socio-economic research focused on the evaluation of policies public, gender equality and other social challenges (fulfillment of SDG objectives, among others). We carry out studies, evaluations and measurements of the social impact for other entities and organizations. We fight against inequality through education, training and employment in the most disadvantaged neighborhoods of Madrid. On the other hand, the entity has extensive experience in European projects, having carried out various projects of Leonardo Da Vinci and Erasmus + innovation such as: • Eguide Guiding best practice- 2008/10 • Proethics- 2009/11 • Network for Quality- 2012/14 • Network for Quality-2012/14 • Mobile: Mobility in Learning in Europe-2014/2015 • EVS4all: European Voluntary Service for All- 2015/17 • Ubuntu Bridges for Peace- 2018/2019 • Future Proof your career-2019/21 On the other hand, annually since 2008 the mobility project has been carried out for our Regulated Training students Leonardo entrepreneurs: • Young people in Europe Fundación Tomillo nace en 1983 con el propósito de contribuir a la mejora social y al desarrollo de la persona. Nuestra actividad es llevada a cabo por un equipo multidisciplinar de 222 profesionales y 529 personas voluntarias, que desarrollan los distintos programas dirigidos a la infancia, adolescencia y familia, así como a la formación, la orientación y la intermediación social y laboral. Fundación Tomillo cuenta con el sello de Calidad EFQM +500 puntos de excelencia, es analizada por la Fundación Lealtad y audita anualmente sus cuentas. En el año 2017 ha sido acreditada como Escuela de Segunda Oportunidad. Trabajamos con personas en situación de dificultad social, para que tomen la responsabilidad de sus vidas y participen de forma activa, como palancas de cambio, en su entorno.
