Kulturzentrum Schlachthof e.V.

TThe Kulturzentrum Schlachthof is a self-governed and independent centre under cooperative management. It is Bremen's largest cultural centre with supra-regional influence and a high standard cultural program in regard to quality and variety for different target groups. Futhermore it offers cultural workshops and organises theme-oriented projects, productions and events. New talents in music, media and theatre are actively supported. We have theatre workshops for the little ones from the kindergarden, rock music workshops for kids and young adults, a video class, a bi-monthly magazine and a skater park outside. It is our aim to make culture accessible for everybody, not only for the ones who can afford it. But mostly we are known for our concerts with an audience of up to 1000 people and for the partys in the basement. To be self-governed means that we are all in charge to make the culture centre a successful organisation. Weekly team meetings are necessary to have transparent communication and decision processess. Whoever comes to join us can be part of this.
