About Organization
The Association is a non-profit organization and intends to pursue exclusively social solidarity purposes addressed to people in disadvantaged conditions situations. In particular, the Association pursues the following purposes: - promote studies and research to identify needs and areas at risk; - educate on the elimination of waste, respect for the environment, recycling and revitalization of used things (bartering and supply of basic necessities to the poor are organized on this aspect); - carry out interventions relevant to development in the food and health sector; - promote and qualify the social-assistance, rehabilitation and educational services aimed at the growth of the individual's cultural standard; - promote fundraising aimed at supporting local needs and developing countries or those in need; - to encourage and promote voluntary work with methods of action within mutual and solidarity principles; - organize concerts, art exhibitions, various art shows, conferences, cultural courses, sporting and social events; - establish prizes and competitions on the theme of promoting respect for human rights, especially the most derelict and weakest; - collaborate with private and public bodies and institutions through agreements and conventions in relation to projects that allow the promotion and development of the rights of the weakest and most marginalized; - collaborate with the reception centers and implement any other social activity, including the spread of long distance adoptions; - to promote meetings, seminars, debates and conferences, as well as the publication of periodicals and magazines, audiovisual and IT aids on all the above topics and others that may fall within the aims of the Committee; - to promote any other useful initiative to achieve the aims of the Association. The main target groups of the activities are: Young people aged between seventeen and thirty, including disadvantaged ones (with economic, cultural, neet, immigrants, victims of violence); decision makers; immigrants; parents; educators; associations and entities engaged in the third sector (in particular in youth, immigration and European policies). Among the main actions of the association there are: activities for the supply of basic necessities (food, medicine and clothing) to the poor and immigrants in difficulty; assistance, information and support to immigrants (to inform them about their rights, to accompany them to the competent offices, requests for residence permits, etc.); listening center for immigrants in difficulty or victims of violence and abuse (this category includes the most vulnerable categories such as children and women). For activities with young people, there is the aim of bringing as many young people closer to volunteering. The association strongly believes in volunteering as a form of active citizenship and learning process for young people. Through volunteering, young people become an active part of society and can develop knowledge and skills useful for personal and professional growth. With this objective, the association tries to involve young people in their volunteering activities and carries out orientation activities in the various forms of solidarity most congenial to the volunteer (environment, culture, the elderly, immigrants, etc.). For this purpose, the association: divulges volunteer activities (including mobility abroad supported by European programs; organizes conferences and meetings on volunteering and European opportunities; on the occasion of the initiatives, it cuts out moments dedicated precisely to orientation and sharing information). In the last instance, in the past few years the association has been engaged in European project designing to: increase the international dimension; to increase the number and quality of the initiatives carried out; to increase the number and categories of target groups; to increase the growth of its staff.
