MAIRIE D'IGNY

The department of youth “Le Spot” is administered by the City of Igny (territorial community: public sector). This space is dedicated to youth from 11 to 25 years old. It is composed of two programs: 1- “Le Point Information Jeunesse” (PIJ) provides information to youth from 11 to 25 years old on all areas that concern them such as jobs, education, training, professional and personal life skills (housing, permits, etc…), European and international’s mobility and health. This program also assists them to create projects of all sorts and connect them with partners specialized for youth. PIJ also offers an array of services in outreach such as middle school, high school, different neighborhoods of the City. PIJ set up protocols to promote the autonomy of youth: assistance for driving license, for training PSC1, the BAFA, citizen involvement, youth workshop (first professional experience for 16 and 17 years old) 2- “L’espace jeunes” for 11 to 17 years old offers playful activities, facility with low barriers for access, field trips, night events and assists them with the realization of projects. This program also offers coverage at the City’s middle school.
