BC Landschap De Liereman vzw

The visitor center Landschap De Liereman vzw is a professionally staffed visitor center that is connected to the nature reserve Landschap De Liereman and Natuurpunt vzw. The visitor center is located at the largest gateway to the nature reserve Landschap De Liereman in Oud-Turnhout. De Liereman is a top nature attraction in Belgium. It is one of the oldest recognized nature reserves in Belgium and is also known for its heritage. It consists of roughly 1.000 hectares in size and is still developing. What many people do not know is that the nature reserve is mainly managed by volunteers, who are coordinated by professionals from the visitor center. The reserve has many visitors like walkers, tourists, cyclists, joggers, mountain bikers, horse riders, schools, etc. and attracts yearly more then 200.000 visitors. The visitor center is the central meeting place where the staff and volunteers give visitors information about the nature reserve. The center also has a well-functioning cafetaria and shop. It offers to rent meeting rooms and has an extensive educational program with activities for schools, families, children, courses, .... Every year, around 80.000 visitors come to the visitor center.
