About Organization
Avantis is a Latvian youth organisation established in 2002. We create creative, active, and inspiring projects that positively impact young people from various social, economic, and cultural backgrounds. Our mission is to inspire and provide a platform for young people (ages 13-25) to express their talent, creativity, and skills, and help them achieve their dreams and goals. Through various projects, we promote beneficial leisure activities, recognise new talents, and strengthen their growth to foster youth participation in society in Latvia and the world. Our projects include creative workshops, seminars, camps, television shows, documentaries, and other media products, as well as large-scale cultural events, and concerts. In addition to these activities, we actively support youth initiatives and rising talents in film and music production. We educate the youth through discussions, conferences, hackathons, and masterclasses from experts. We also produce our own content, TV shows, publish our own journal, and host an annual youth media summer camp with experts from around the world. Many of our alumni have become award-winning film producers, musicians, influencers, and even politicians.
