Fundacion Centro Famia Piedra Plat (FCPP) is a community center in Aruba. Goals: • Build a bridge between the community center and the families in our neighborhood • Stimulate social development, physical and educational talents of people • Encourage and support young people to learn and succeed in life • Promote generally accepted norms and values We carry out the following activities: 1. Centro Educativo Creativo (CEC): a daily after school homework assistance program for 60 primary and secondary education pupils/students with financial difficulties. 2. AWANA CLUB: focuses on teaching norms & values to young children 3 to 12 years old. Every Friday throughout the school year, with 55 children. 3. Cas Di Musica: daily music schooling, where children and adults develop their talents. Some kids get these lessons as support for their behavioral problems 4. Various workshops for our target groups and their parents & families, volunteers, and the elderly. 5. Annual fundraising activities during Dia di Betico, Flag Day, King's Day, Ascension Day weekend and Christmas. 6. Children's/Youth camp, organized during major holidays. Target groups: Schoolkids aged 5-17 that need help with homework and support/motivation for their wellbeing. The kids usually come from broken families with little support at home. This group consists of 2 age groups, schoolkids 5-12 and teenagers 12-17 Young kids aged 3-12 of which their parents have difficulties taking care of them General public 18-60+
