About Organization
We are KulturBrücken Görlitz Association from GörlitZgorzelec, which is situated on the Polish/German border and the banks of river Neiße. For more than 10 years we have been organising Polish-German circus workshops for children and youth from Zgorzelec (Poland) and Görlitz (Germany). We offer workshops in juggling, unicycling, acrobatics, aerials and other skills. In total, we organise 11 different courses for participants aged 0 to 16 years. Over one hundred children and youth join on a weekly basis. The workshops take place in Görlitz and Zgorzelec and are conducted by instructors from Poland and Germany together. In addition to our regular German-Polish projects we as well carry out socio-educational street projects for children in one of Görlitz's local neighbourhoods. Above this we organise international summer camps and trainings for German and Polish circus educators. Furthermore, we have “Open Suitcase” projects, which deliver our circus workshops to schools, festivals, birthday celebrations and other events or locations. Our focus is: circus pedagogy and creativity in performing arts, children and youth work, cross-border initiatives, intercultural learning, inclusion.
