About Organization
The project of "l'Arche" is a federation of communities that is present in 38 countries everywhere in the world, where adults with mental disabilities and those who support them live and work together. Community members are invited to experience mutual relationships through and beyond professional support. The communities of "L’Arche" are committed to an ecological approach combining simplicity and sobriety in shared household life and in the activities offered during the day. L'Arche in Strasbourg is an inclusive habitat for 18 people with disabilities as well as employees and volunteers who live together in 3 houses in the "Danube eco-district" which is located 15 minutes away from the historic city center of Strasbourg. L’Arche in Strasbourg also manages a meeting space, the Pot’irons, and manages a Mutual Assistance Group (GEM) which is co-led by its members with and without mental disabilities.
