About Organization
Izmir Katip Celebi University (IKCU) was established in 2010 as a state university in the Agean Sea Region of Turkey. The university takes its name from scientist Katip Çelebi, who made important scientific studies, especially in the fields of History and Geography. IKCU has 14 faculties, 3 institutes,1 school of foreign language, 1 vocational high school, 26 application and research centers, 7 coordinatorships, and one professionally equipped university hospital. Almost every program accepts foreign students from various countries both European and non-European countries. IKCU has 18538 students, 12211 alumni students, 1147 academic staff, and 589 administrative staff. IKCU has agreements with 61 partner universities in 14 European countries. The university participates actively in international projects and runs these projects successfully such as KA1, KA2, and Horizon Projects.
