Maison des Projets

The Maison des Projets is a non-profit association recognized as a community center by the CAF (Family Allowances Fund) of Sarthe. It promotes social connections, citizenship, and the development of individual empowerment through actions focused on popular education and local social development. It offers activities for all residents of the Maine Cœur de Sarthe community, regardless of age or social background. The association manages leisure activities, supports children, youth, and individuals in need through a solidarity grocery store, and develops a parenting program to strengthen family bonds and social diversity. The board of directors includes 28 members, and the association had 838 family memberships in 2024, representing nearly 2,000 people. The team, made up of 47 employees across several sites, operates in a rural and peri-urban area of 13 municipalities, home to 22,000 inhabitants. This dynamic region is attracting new businesses and sees an annual population increase of about 100 people. Maison des Projets contributes to this growth with five main activity areas: Family and Social Life, Childhood, Youth, Local Animations, and the Solidarity Grocery Store. The Childhood sector, with 31 employees, is the largest, offering 150,000 hours of activities. The association also benefits from the support of 90 active volunteers.
