About Organization
The Louise Michel Vocational High School is a public vocational training institution that enrolls approximately 160 students. It is located in a rural area with a significant number of students from disadvantaged families. The high school has a boarding school; half of our students are boarders. Our high school welcomes students from Year 9 (14 years old) to Bac+2 (19-20 years old). The Louise Michel Vocational High School is organized around five majors: - A Cybersecurity, IT, and Electronics major. - A Timber Construction major. - A Building Technical Intervention and Maintenance major. - A Project Management major in the Sports Sector. - A Building Design and Finishing major. In Appendix 1, you will find an organizational chart highlighting, in yellow, the "pilots" of our project to host a young European volunteer; these are the people who will work the most with the young person being hosted. We work with young people aged 14 to 22, sometimes a little older (adult education). The project allows for the inclusion of diverse student profiles (Bac Pro/CAP, girls/boys, rural/urban, boarders/day students/half-boarders) from extremely rural and isolated areas, whose circumstances make mobility difficult. We are increasingly recruiting students from special education programs. Our main objectives are to support our students towards professional integration or further studies, but also to make them responsible and engaged citizens.
