Forum für Interkulturellen Dialog e.V.

FIDeV (Forum for Intercultural Dialogue) is a non-profit organization founded in 2002 in Frankfurt am Main. Our mission is to promote sustainable intercultural and interfaith dialogue in Germany. Through discussions, workshops, conferences, and cultural events, we bring together people of different backgrounds to foster peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding. Our Approach We believe that art, music, craftsmanship, and culture have the power to connect people and build bridges for open, respectful dialogue. Our work is guided by three main principles: Sharing knowledge and building skills Creating safe spaces for encounter Addressing conflicts in a solution-oriented way FIDeV is committed to the values of freedom and equality, as expressed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We aim to contribute to a society where these values can be lived and experienced by all. Our History FIDeV was founded by a group of academics, journalists, and writers, many of whom were inspired by the ideas of the Turkish Muslim scholar Fethullah Gülen, known for his emphasis on dialogue and peace. From the very beginning, the organization has welcomed people of all beliefs and backgrounds, offering an open space for exchange and shared learning.
