About Organization
The Day Center "DIKAIOMA ELPIDAS" represents an NGO that provides specialized education and therapy programs for individuals with disabilities over the age of 21. The center aims to embrace young people who are released from Special Public Schools and are essentially left in the care of their parents. The goal is to foster the essential development of skills at sensory, social, and emotional levels. The diverse activities of the center's special programs contribute to the smooth adaptation and inclusion of individuals with disabilities into society. According to the new European standards, structures of this type should include a small number of individuals to ensure the highest quality of care. This has resulted in a disproportion between the number of available facilities and the number of people in need of support. We strive to bridge this social and educational gap by realizing a vision—a vision created by a group of individuals, primarily parents, who foresaw their children's future needs and established the "Right to Hope" with effort, persistence, sacrifices, and above all, a lot of love. A vision that leads to hope...! Primarily, the Center’s program aims for the holistic development of the individuals with disabilities who attend. The educational approach focuses on: * Language Skills - Developmental Communication, * Personal Care, * Social Skills (social adaptation), * Sensory Development, * Cognitive Development – Perceptual Skills, * Counseling Support
