Ecomercaderet cooperativa SCCL

This project started 7 years ago when one of the members inherited a farmhouse with it´s 7 ha of non-organic barley fields. It started as a seedsafing farm, slowly it got bigger, more people got involved, more than 100 volunteers passed by and more dreams were made into reality. The seedbank stayed, but many other projects have evolved along. Ecomercaderet is a experimental farm with a vegetable garden producing vegetables year round, 100 hens in three movable chicken coops, three milking cows with their calves, a licensed commercial kitchen for our dairy products, 6 ha rented land for organic pasture for the cows, we´re cleaning 13 ha of neglected white pine forest that we are changing into a more biodiverse forest with silvopasture.
