About Organization
Cultterra is a youth-led, grassroots cultural association based in Elefsina, Greece. Founded in 2018 during the preparation of Eleusis 2023 European Capital of Culture and officially registered as a non-profit association in 2024, Cultterra connects people and strengthens communities through culture, arts, sports, and collective action. Its mission is to promote inclusion, participation, and sustainability by empowering young people and underrepresented groups to become active contributors to local life. Believing that culture is a tool for social change, Cultterra uses creativity to build bridges between communities, foster dialogue, and encourage civic engagement. Main activities include workshops, festivals, exhibitions, and participatory projects that blend artistic expression, environmental awareness, and social dialogue. Target groups are young people aged 15–30, particularly those with fewer opportunities such as women, LGBTQI+ youth, migrants, and unemployed youth. Cultterra collaborates with schools, local associations, and grassroots initiatives to promote solidarity, local participation, and shared responsibility. Through its work, Cultterra creates inclusive spaces where young people can learn, express themselves, and take initiative, contributing to a more connected, creative, and sustainable community.
