Campus Zweiter Bildungsweg (Hamburg, Germany) is a public adult education school offering young adults and returning learners a second chance to obtain their school-leaving qualifications. Our mission is to empower learners to build confidence, autonomy and intercultural competence through meaningful learning experiences – both inside and outside the classroom. In 2025, our students took part for the first time in an international volunteer project organised by OPUS (CPIE Pays de Vaucluse) in southern France, restoring historic lime kilns and discovering the cultural and ecological heritage of Provence. The experience proved transformative: it strengthened teamwork, resilience, and European awareness among our learners. Encouraged by this success, we aim to continue this partnership and to open further opportunities for our students to engage in heritage restoration, environmental education and intercultural cooperation. Our main target group includes young adults aged 20–30, many of whom have experienced educational or social challenges. Through European volunteering projects, they gain self-confidence, language skills and a sense of belonging to a shared European community.
This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps. — Scope: Volunteering
