Hrvatski akademski sportski savez

The Croatian Academic Sports Federation (CASF) is the umbrella organisation for the student sports movement in Croatia, representing over 180,000 students from higher education institutions. Our mission is to promote sport and physical activity as an essential part of academic life, encouraging inclusion, equality, volunteerism and healthy lifestyles among young people. CASF organises numerous national and international competitions, educational programmes and events supporting dual careers, mental health and students from different socio-ecomomic background. Key initiatives include UniSport ViLA – Volunteers and Leadership Academy, which educates young volunteers in sports management, women in leadership and all participants about personal projects; UniSport Health, promoting healthy living through physical activity and mental health support; and the Conference for a Healthy Academic Society, an annual event connecting experts in sport, science and health. In 2025, CASF established the National Volunteer Centre in Sport, a new platform aimed at strengthening the sports volunteering network across Croatia, reaffirming our long-term commitment to developing leadership, inclusion and community engagement through sport. Main hosting site will be CASF Zagreb; from 2027, Split will operate as a second site with equal standards, mentoring, facilities, and conditions across both offices.
