StampMedia vzw

StampMedia enhances the voice of young people. We do this by teaching and improving young people's journalism and media skills (writing, photography, video and audio) and their media literacy. We organise specific workshops for young people about media skills and media literacy, both in their spare time and in schools. We are also a publishing platform and press agency. Young people who create journalistic content are helped by our staff. The results are published on our website and are sent to other media (e.g. national newspapers or online media). That way, we make sure that young people's voices are heard in society. We also work on active citizenship. Our target group is young people, between 13 and 26 years old. We put the emphasis on those voices that are underrepresented in society. Our full mission & vision: StampMedia amplifies the voice of young people. We do this by making young people media literate and by making media 'youth literate'. As a connecting organization, we pay special attention to the young people who are least heard. StampMedia strengthens the voice of young people. We permanently look at how we can support the story of young people in a good and appropriate way. We work together with other media players to give the voice of young people a bigger platform through their channels. StampMedia is a place for experimentation. Young people can experiment with media. They are supported in doing so by our professional staff and they can participate in workshops. StampMedia is an editorial office. Young people work on journalistic pieces. They produce publications on topics they find interesting. To facilitate this, they receive training and solid feedback on everything they create. StampMedia is a press agency. The pieces that our young volunteers create are sent out to "adult" news channels. In addition, StampMedia helps other media players to make more representative news by offering information from the world of young people to editors and journalists. StampMedia is an information point. We inform young people about news and the background to that news. We inform the media about young people. We help other organizations to bring their information to young people. StampMedia is a diverse organization. The organization wants to be a reflection of society. We consciously seek a balance in voices and profiles. This is done on all levels of the organization and is also reflected in its own structure. StampMedia builds bridges. We like to work together a lot, connecting the various networks around the organization. We are an active partner and strengthen other organizations with what we do together.
