AGERE AUDE

The main statutory tasks of Agere Aude Foundation (AA) are: dissemination of knowledge and scientific achievements (especially in the field of logopedics and digital humanities) and counteracting various kinds of exclusions (including communication). The organization works dynamically in the above-mentioned areas, and also cooperates on a regular basis with many scientific, cultural and social institutions from Southern Poland, as well as with foreign organizations and entities. Agere Aude has completed a number of projects in cooperation with the University of Silesia, among others. Special attention should be paid to Agere Aude Foundation projects in the area of dissemination of science, including organization of international and national events that popularize knowledge about communication barriers (conferences, symposia, social events) and on the contemporary possibilities of shaping dialogue and understanding using modern technologies (activities in the area of promoting digital humanities). AA also operates in the field of encouraging civic participation (cooperation with city authorities and non-governmental organizations) as well as watchdog activities in monitoring urban and youth policies. AA employees are involved in the social affairs of their local communities and together with the inhabitants they build the social potential of the region. AA’s sources of financing are, most of all, funds obtained under grant programs from domestic and foreign funds, namely: Erasmus +, programs of the National Center for Culture, programs of the Minister of Science and Higher Education (mainly for science dissemination activities), programs of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
