NÉA is a non-profit association founded in 2009 which aims to promote local development, facilitating s and exchanges between peoples of different culture and religion. The association is especially committed to the implementation of activities concerning to youth policies, training, intercultural awareness. The association is strongly active and motivate in the growth of a region in the centre of Sardinia, this area is affected by high depopulation and aging population, moreover unemployment and emigration, and characterized by a very low income pro capite. NÉA's purpose is local development in all its possible forms and contents, facilitating s and exchanges between different territories with particular attention to the following areas: - Culture, History and local identity - Youth Policies - Training and Education - European programs and projects - Environment and Sustainable Development - Civil society and active citizenship - Interculturalism and multilingualism - Equal opportunities and social inclusion - Local promotion - Rural development - Cooperation and development education NÉA carries out participatory planning activities in partnership with local governments, educational institutions, associations, institutional bodies and third sector organizations. NÉA also carries out activities of information and awareness raising on the EU opportunities and European citizenship, organizing meetings in collaboration with schools, municipalities and associations. NÉA organizes training courses for young people, young adults and volunteers in several areas. NÉA manages an Eurodesk center in the province of Oristano and has experience in the field of intercultural and youth mobility through participation in many Erasmus+ projects. Main target groups: Our activities are aimed at young people and young adults, especially those included in the age group between 16 and 35 years, which are disadvantaged for economic, cultural, social and/or geographical reasons.
