Youth Bridges Budapest is a youth foundation established in 2019 and based in Budapest, Hungary. We support young people in navigating the social, environmental and digital challenges that shape their lives, while creating opportunities for them to learn, connect and take an active role in their communities. Our work is guided by a simple principle: young people’s opportunities cannot be separated from the social environments in which they live. We therefore combine individual learning and competence development with community-based activities, research, educational innovation and support for youth participation. Our main areas of work include: - social inclusion, equal opportunities and participation; - environmental sustainability, water justice and green citizenship; - digital literacy, critical thinking and responsible technology use; - youth mental health, resilience and well-being; - volunteering, active citizenship and community engagement; - non-formal, experiential and creative learning. We work primarily with young adults, including young people with fewer opportunities, as well as youth workers, educators, trainers, facilitators, social workers and other professionals supporting young people. Our activities range from local workshops, youth-led actions and cultural programmes to international learning mobility, volunteering and long-term cooperation projects. YBB has seven years of experience in non-formal education and European youth programmes. We have participated in around 20 cooperation partnerships as a partner, coordinator or work package leader, and we regularly organise youth exchanges, training courses, professional meetings and international events. Through our Erasmus+ youth accreditation, we support approximately 100 young people and youth workers in accessing international learning opportunities each year. We also hold European Solidarity Corps Quality Labels as a supporting and coordinating organisation and for Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. In cooperation partnerships, we can contribute: - participatory and social research, needs assessment and evidence-based project development; - curricula, training programmes, toolkits, handbooks and digital learning resources; - non-formal education and training for young people and professionals; - coordination of work packages, project management and quality assurance; - local piloting, stakeholder engagement and youth participation; - organisation of meetings, training activities, mobility programmes and public events; - communication, dissemination and the practical use of project results. Our permanent team brings together expertise in youth work, adult education, social research, psychology, human ecology, communication, volunteering and international project management. We also cooperate with external trainers, researchers and educational professionals and involve young people and youth workers in the design and implementation of our activities. We value partnerships built on open communication, shared responsibility and realistic commitments. We are particularly interested in cooperation that produces useful, accessible and lasting results for young people and the professionals and communities around them.
