Via Kreaktion

Via Kreaktion promotes non-formal learning, intercultural understanding and the exchange of innovative and creative ideas. We encourage personal and professional development of young and old throughout Europe. The organization is located in the Euroregion Rhein-Waal, right on the border between Germany and the Netherlands. In this strategic position, we aim to combine the strengths and ideas from both countries, from small villages to larger cities, and draw them into the larger European context. Founded in 2019, we are a young organization active in non-formal, intergenerational and intercultural education. We believe that the key to personal development and active citizenship lies in discovering one's passion and being able to integrate one's talents in private and professional life. We define creativity as the capacity to actively find new solutions to diverse problems or challenges. By building an environment of creativity, innovation and open exchange, we aim to stimulate people from all paths of life to explore alternative ways of facing such challenges in their personal or professional lives, and in the wider society. The mission of our organization is to: - Stimulate creativity, civic participation and intercultural understanding. - Create a platform for the exchange of good practices and of innovative ideas. Build synergies between organizations on local, regional and international level. Form a network including NGOs, youth workers, citizen initiatives, public bodies, (social) enterprises and international organizations. - Contribute to the social development of the region - Promote talent and skills development by providing workshops, trainings and exchanges - Offer activities of non-formal, intergenerational, and intercultural education. Give opportunities to talented people to share their knowledge and experience with interested learners. - Encourage active participation in social and political life, and promote volunteer opportunities. Via Kreaktion is currently coordinating the project “Youth for Innovation: Social Entrepreneurship and Media” with partners from Italy, Sweden, Norway, Slovenia and Greece. Apart from that we are involved as partners in several projects in the areas of sustainability, experience learning, outdoor and creative methods of non-formal learning, and civic participation.
