Our Motto: “Educate, Empower, Engage” Who we are: YouThrive is an initiative dedicated to Educate, Empower and Engage youth, in order to become social activists and entrepreneurs, to have a promising future and career, to make and lead a change in the community, We train and provide youth with the knowledge, skills, opportunities to become informed, active and engaged citizens. Our work endures throughout future generations, where we tap the potential of all young people, no matter who they are and what background they have. The reasons of creating YouThrive, (WHY)? Today young people face a lot of issues, such as substance abuse, unemployment, violence, and School dropout, and most importantly they live a meaningless life, without goals or purpose, that’s all because of lack of awareness, lack of support and opportunities and because of negative peer pressure as well, so YouThrive is a key way to strengthen and support youth in dealing with these crises, therefore, instead of being assets they will be liabilities and change agents in their community. Our vision “Community with well informed, trained, and active youth, who fulfill their dreams and enhance life quality in their societies” Our mission “Develop and empower youth, to build a meaningful life, and create a change in their community.” Goals: effective youth engagement efforts are driven by an intentional philosophy about change that young people and adults understand and own. 1. Raising self- awareness, life purpose, social contribution, and voluntarism. 2. Reducing school dropout percentage, and raising awareness about the importance of education; 3. Raising awareness about peer pressure, and reducing violence. 4. Reducing drugs and alcohol use. 5. Developing skillful and competent students and youth. 6. Creating places and environments to find, nurture and practice talents and skills, career desires and passions. 7. Equip youth with the right skills and knowledge for work and build entrepreneurship mindset; 8. Creating change ambassadors. Our Methodology: First, we empower them by training on the most important life skills in order to build/ develop a strong and productive personality. Then we educate them about the SDGs, Global Issues, Entrepreneurship and Social Entrepreneurship. Finally, we train them on certain skills, and provide them with the tools to be active in their communities and how to be engaged in the society to generate a positive change, creating their projects by using their own ideas, the knowledge and skills they have learnt through the program. The fellowship part, we follow the participants in the implementation of their projects.
