Praticare il futuro is a non-profit organization born in 2011 to educate kids, teens and adults about social and environmental responsibility and global citizenship. We work in a natural environment, in a very special contexts: in the woods, in the farm house, along the river or in the middle of the field we build together projects, experiences and actions for a better world in connections with nature. Our main objective is to raise awareness, empower people, and motivate them to be active citizens for the well-being of each person, the locals and wider communities.ù We promote a new sustainable way of life using fair society models focused on principles of ecological wisdom and sustainability, social and environmental liability, respect for diversity, direct democracy, self-organised action and cooperation between people, while observing and exploring new models of rural and agricultural production. Our aim is to develop the practices, knowledge and skills necessary to manage the present and regain possession of the future that is more fair and supportive and respectful of the environment. Together, learn to practice cooperation, sobriety, participation, active citizenship, interculture, critical thinking, personal and collective responsibility, care for oneself and for others, awareness of interdependence with living beings and the planet as a whole to search for new solutions to problems. We propose a pedagogy of active citizenship and social and political commitment, with the aim of guaranteeing all the skills of conscious thought, word and action. Our educational methods include the learning by doing approach, the autoregulations method and the permaculture vision of the interconnections of ecosystems and generative systems. We want to help kids and youngster to grow in with the earth and with their territory, learning to take care of plants and animals, to produce food, ideas, toys and works of art, to self-manage and collaborate, to develop critical and complex thinking, to explore reality, reflect and act to change it, to take responsibility towards oneself, the community, the planet. We are involved in diverse informal and non-formal educational projects: -Cooperation with schools: We cooperate with schools to educate school groups, producing environmental programs inspired by permaculture, while also focusing on the circle of fertile soil , circle of water, natural composting, protection of biodiversity, beekeeping, green building, and the discovery and conservation of the flora and fauna of our territory. -Our school in nature: We have created a school in nature for kids aged 3 to 6, and for the 6 to the 8 year olds. -We cooperate with a homeschooling group. -Other activities: summer camp for kids and teens, territorial events, and workshops for kids, teen and families. -Courses for adults: We hold courses for adults, centered around permaculture, bio-construction, CNV, auto-production and regenerative agriculture.
