Teatro C'art Comic Education Aps

The Cultural Association Teatro C'Art is a cultural centre that focuses its work on the use of clown and comic theatre in educational, social, pedagogical and artistic activities. Active since 2002 in the municipality of Castelfiorentino, it has succeeded in creating a solid network of collaborations on a local, national and international level, thanks to the quality, peculiarity and variety of its work, which focuses on the dissemination and application of the 'comic-relational method'. This method is devised by Brazilian clown Andrè Casaca (the theatre's artistic director) and used in training by the entire company. It permits the development of paths rooted in the deconstruction of ordinary and predictable gestures and in the affirmation of a gestural identity far removed from representation. It is in this type of identification that the company finds the core of its comic-corporeal work, both formative and artistic. Teatro C'Art is active both nationally and internationally and focuses on four areas of intervention for the development of its activities: artistic, training, educational and social-pedagogical.
