Edirne Gençlik Merkezi / Edirne Youth Center

Edirne Provincial Directorate of Youth Services and Sports is a public body. It is represented by Ministry of Youth and Sport. Our organization has 140 workers. Ourorganization has eight departments. One of the departments is Youth Centre. Youth Centre has 10 thousand members. They consist of 12-29 aged of youth. So we have many opportunities for youths. For example; when we get information from the project, we share all information with our youth members and our target group is increasing more and more. In the centre there are lots of activities, volunteering actions, sports, courses, informative meetings and seminars about theirselves in according to their needs and interests. Because these youth need these activities for carrying out their initiatives and creative. Also, our organization has also operated 24 different sport branches. For example; football, basketball, tennis, badminton, wrestling, taekwondo, judo, table tennis, handball, atletizm, voleyball, fitness, swimming, archery and shooting etc. We organize courses in different branches of sport sandarts as amateurs for the integration and cooperation of the young people in the city and for preparing the children and support them and guide them to be come professionals in thefuture. All activities are for free to ensure equal participation of the young with low income level sandfacing social disadvantages. It serves as EURODESK Point to inform the young people about the opportunities in foreign countries. Edirne Provincial Directorate of Youth Services and Sports is located in Edirne center. Edirne is located in both border regions, Bulgaria and Greece. It has European Champion ships in judo and Wrestling sports. Our organization has organized and participated in national and international tournamaents, festivals and seminars both in sports and in the field of youths.
