ECCO APS ETS

ECCO APS acts for a participatory, fair and sustainable development of the territories and aims to trigger bottom-up social innovation processes for the pursuit of social and environmental justice through long-lasting, scalable and highly transformative initiatives. It promotes active social inclusion, the development of innovative models of solidarity, ecological and circular economy, as well as active citizenship for the construction of shared responses to the needs of the community. The association aims to achieve these goals through activities based on the experiential approach to education and training (especially in the field of active citizenship and traditional and digital handicraft), lifelong career counselling, initiatives to support self-entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity. Main beneficiaries are youngsters and young adults, students, unemployed, NEETs, adults in lifelong learning, migrants and people in disadvantaged conditions. The organisation's team includes people with backgrounds in the human and social sciences, along with experts in design and new technologies. Activities carried out since 2016 have seen the collaboration of these professionals to promote socio-scholastic and socio-professional inclusion paths for youngsters and young adults at risk. ECCO APS ETS carries out initiatives in collaboration with several secondary schools as well as with the University in the Metropolitan City of Palermo. Currently the main activities of ECCO APS ETS aim to support youngsters and young adults by providing them with tools for building a professional future as active and aware citizens. Specifically they include: Environmental education and active citizenship paths that aim to stimulate, through the tools and methodologies of participatory approaches, the involvement of minors and young people in the valorization and protection of the territory, also with intergenerational exchanges. ● Educational and training courses for minors and young people for guidance and acquisition of soft skills. ● Training paths on digital manufacturing technologies including 3D printing, laser cutting and milling.
