Non Dalla Guerra

The project Non Dalla Guerra was the brain-child of Giovanni and Tommaso, two twenty-year-old students, who through an experience in Jordan in the summer of 2014 first came into with the reality of the Syrian refugees streaming into the city of Al Mafraq. In the summer of 2015, their experience was repeated with another 15 students from the province of Vicenza. This group travelled all the way to Al Mafraq, in the north of the country, 20km from the Syrian border and 10km from the Zaatari Camp, the second largest refugee camp in the world. Their aim was to make known the context of the Syrian-Iraqi war by focusing on the everyday reality of refugees living in Jordan. The group’s experience in Jordon led to the development of the project’s two main goals: to raise funds in support of Caritas Jordan educational projects targeting the children of refugees. to encourage awareness-raising initiatives in Italy, Europe and the world through the testimony of the young people involved and through the production and transmission of a documentary: means to ensure that the unheard voices of these refugees be finally listened to. Please help us realize these goals. You can do so in many, many different ways.
