Pinarhisar Subgovernorship

Subgovernorship of Pinarhisar (SOP) is the highest administrative authority in the city of Pinarhisar, with a population of approximately 20,000. As the highest authority and umbrella organization of other public authorities in Pinarhisar it has many responsibilities in different sectors,such as education, health, security, agriculture and tourism.Among are;14 villages,District Directorate of National Education,Health,Civil Registry,Provincial Tax Office,Disaster and Emergency,Police Department,all of which are affiliated to SOP. For improving the life qualities of our citizens, we have been working since 1953 to; -identify their needs and take measures accordingly -perform public services in accordance with the public benefit, -provide cooperation among public bodies, NGOs, private sectors and other institutions in the district -support district schools for better education opportunities -provide infrastructural services and financial support to villages -protect, maintain, and enhance the ecology of our region -create educational learning opportunities for groups of all ages -increase awareness for protecting cultural & historical heritage of the region -create opportunities for recreational & economic development. -initiate collaborations and partnerships with institutions from European countries Our institution have taken part both directly and indirectly in national and international projects so far within the context of Erasmus, CFCU-IPA Cross Border Programme, and National Development Agency.
