Ethnos

ETHNOS is a production company specializing in documentaries, based in Bologna, Italy. It was founded in 1995 with an initial focus on anthropological documentary. It developed to work nationally and internationally for various TV networks. For RAI, national Italian television, Ethnos produced reportages, geographical and nature documentaries. It also worked for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and many associations and Non-Governmental Organizations, producing documentaries and social communication campaigns around the world, with a considerable experience in Africa and Latin America. It has worked in the following countries: Senegal, Eritrea, Morocco, Tunisia, Uganda, Malawi, Brazil, Benin, Burkina Faso, Guyana, Mexico, Nigeria, Algeria, Indonesia, China, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Albania, Israel, Egypt, Island, Ireland, USA, Russia, Zimbabwe. Ethnos productions have received numerous awards and recognitions. ETHNOS received support for its projects from institutions such as: European Commission (Media Plus Programme), European Parliament, Emilia-Romagna Region, Unicef, Province of Bologna, Luce Institute, Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, Carnegie Corporation of New York.It is currently launching the first Italian impact campaign based on a documentary.
