Echollective

Echollective (APS) is a social promotion association created in July 2023 in Valle Bormida, an inland area of the Liguria region. The aim of the association is artistic and musical promotion, with a focus on social and territorial inclusion. Creativity, Innovation and Inclusiveness are the core values of Echollective, which are used to create events and manifestations that bridge the present and the future of the Bormida Valley. The decision to establish an association in Val Bormida fits in with the intention of promoting art and culture in the area. This is to be done through the enhancement and involvement of young people in the territory. The valley in which Echollective operates is characterised by phenomena such as (youth) depopulation, absence of community and cultural activities, and lack of opportunities (both work and non-work). Through echollective, some of the main long-term goals are to make Val Bormida a place of cultural exchange that can enrich the lives of those involved and to create a network of solidarity and sharing of projects and goals. The association focuses mainly on three macro-areas, called Echoculture, Echomusic and the EchoErasmus section. Some of the activities that the association delivers are: - contemporary art exhibitions with both local and non-local artists as protagonists, to facilitate the exchange of creativity in the various territories of Italy; - live concerts of different musical genres with participants from all over Italy and the surrounding area, to create that hub of musical exchange typical of cities and university environments; - podcast on topics concerning our territory, with special guests from Valle Bormida and youth of the territory taking part in it; - art workshops to be offered to a young target but some also open to children and adults; so far the topic approached were: gender equality, environmental awareness and reflections on the lives of young people in rural areas. Our planning of activities is very malleable as it is also based on the feedback that young people in the area give us after every single event. The creation of the activities is therefore based on a bottom-up approach and on the active participation of the target groups So, if you have read this far, thank you!
