Founded in 1986 by the French government, the 55-hectare Parc de La Villette is located in an area marked by complex socio-economic problems, a high percentage of precariousness and a large number of young people. APSV was created to promote the diversity of uses in situ and of users whatever their social background. Led by some fifteen coordinators, educators, trainers and administrative staff. APSV, headed by Olivier Flament since 2012, embodies the social responsibility of the cultural establishments that manage it, with regard to the region and its residents: Universcience, the Parc and Grande Halle de La Villette, the Philharmonie de Paris, the Théâtre Paris Villette, the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris dance de Paris, the Géode and the Zénith. Most of our initiatives are in the field of culture, seen as one of the foundations of personal development. APSV is a “resource center” for professionals working to reduce inequalities, thanks to our skills in educational action social engineering, research and project management. - Assists 6,000 people a year in precarious situations, particularly young people. - Supports the educational and social support initiatives developed by its partners by providing resources (culture, media, citizenship, etc.). resources. -Steering educational projects: cultural openness, access to cultural rights, development of critical thinking, strengthening young people's psychosocial skills. Cultural action is seen as a tool for social work and support. Media and information education project. European mobility project. - Training organization: development of educational and training programs for youth workers. - Steering the plan to combat discrimination in employment in the 19th arrondissement: awareness-raising and training for professionals in the education sector on the fight against prejudice, stereotypes and representations. Interventions with young people. - Socio-professional support and integration: In 2013, APSV set up Villette Emploi, an economic solidarity group (GES) in the cultural sector, which recruits unemployed people to promote their sustainable integration through economic activity. - Circular economy project: Oeco, an initiative supported by APSV, whose aim is to promote resource saving and waste reduction through a circular economy.
