REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF BRANICEVO AND PODUNAVLJE

The Regional Development Agency “Braničevo-Podunavlje” represents the central integrative point for promotion of sustainable and balanced socio-economic development of the urban and rural areas in the development region of Braničevo-Podunavlje, which will provide all of its citizens with an opportunity for an improved and better quality life. Through a partnership approach, it creates the links between Municipalities, entrepreneurs, non-governmental organizations, donors, the Government, cross-border and international partners which represent collective interests of Braničevo-Podunavlje region. Also, it is an engine of the regional sustainable development, in particular acting as a coordination body for implementation of Regional Development Strategy. The RDA “Braničevo-Podunavlje“ is transparent, professional, business oriented and efficient in its operation. Departments established at the basis of identified priority areas have within the scope of their work environment protection and infrastructure, development of SME and entrepreneurship, agriculture and rural development, and human resources and tourism, in order to provide all different types of beneficiaries with a wide range of good quality and expert services at one place. Key activities: Representation and promotion of development interests of the region and cooperation at the national and international level; Implementation and monitoring of regional development strategies, plans and programs; Coordination, preparation and implementation of regional development projects and research of available funding sources; Improvement of regional marketing and information, through promotion on web, media and events, organization of trainings, seminars and conferences on development issues; Supporting LSGs in the preparation and implementation of local sustainable development strategies, action plans and concrete projects, through various events and activities aimed at continuous improvement of the knowledge and skills of employees; Promotion of entrepreneurship and investments, through the provision of professional and technical support to small and medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurship, stimulating the creation of new jobs and attracting new investments. Expiriences: From the beginning of our activities until now, we have prepared over 150 proposals for regional, inter-municipal and local projects, with a total value of over €20 million. So far, over 20 projects have been successfully implemented, worth over 8 million euros
