Association for Dialogue, Culture and Sport (ADCS)

Using non-formal education we bring young people closer to cultural activities, sport and movement, volunteering and dialogue. We work with young, open minded, creative people, who are curious to do things in a “different” way. Objectives: - Developing personal and professional competences by using non-formal education activities; - Supporting volunteering as a main tool of approaching social work; - Promoting human rights education; - Offering alternatives for a healthy lifestyle ; - Using sport as a method of education for training youth and youth workers thus promoting grass root sport , physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. Target group: Youth with ages between 15 and 35 years old (as direct beneficiaries, and a wider age group as indirect ones) who are open to knowledge, international communication and creative education, who have the curiosity and desire to do things differently and to make a change at national and international level in different communities. Methods: Methods of non-formal education, interactive and participatory which contain various topics: communication skills, intercultural dialog, personal leadership, career orienting, social inclusion, project management, antidiscrimination, multiculturality, environmental issues, grass-root sport, global responsability. Vision ADCS was founded with the main mission of supporting and involving youth in non-formal activities at local and global level thus being able to have a positive impact on society using aproaches such as sport, intercultural dialog and transnational communication. ADCS is implementing a wide range of activities using non-formal education, for instance: Non-formal Education Day; promotion of sport and physical activity as tools in dealing with social issues and in supporting well-being, cultural events (concerts, Human Library, Photo Voice, Street Delivery), Human Rights Night. ADCS wants to encourage people to learn from others and teach others, and inspire them to become more active in their lives and communities. Since then ADCS developed the international portfolio by being involved in several international activities and becoming active in diverse networks.
