The NGO ICV - Sarka o.p.s. was founded in 2013. Their main mission is to provide educational and informational activities. We focus on children and youth from orphanages, adults with mental disabilities and the elderly individuals. Our main task is to organize and develop our target groups, to educate, acquisition and distribution of educational material, implementation of social projects, as well as media and publishing activities to support the focus groups. From one of the founders, the company ICV - Institut Certified Training Ltd., took over social projects, which are actively devoted to the education of children from orphanages. These projects are organized and successfully continued in them. ICV - Sarka, o.p.s. builds on the successful projects "Focus on Life", "Access to life" and "I am confident" that have been implemented in recent years. Their aim is as much to facilitate the social integration of young people after leaving orphanages. Over eight years these extraordinary courses passed about 350 successful graduates of 27 orphanages in Bohemia and Moravia. Every year we took part in a benefit concert in support of children's homes. Furthermore, for seniors we have a unique long-term educational program, "Senior Ten - The New Beginning Is Never Too Late" liquid medium containing e.g. issues such as the status of seniors in Czech society, the natural signs of aging and age - biological, psychological, social, typical of natural physical changes and health problems, physiological and inevitably, changes in memory and other mental abilities during programs, family dysfunction, social isolation,, sexuality in old age, and many other interesting topics. Our NGO, ICV - Sarka, o.p.s. working to establish a culturally educational and information center (Club Sarka) We would like to organize a wide variety of informational, educational resources for youths to aid in job-market readiness. Our target activities with this youth demographic is to help in labor and social rehabilitation, retraining and comprehensive support with the aim of maintaining steady employment in the labor market (obtaining adequate job). In addition to what theory offers, there are many adequate practical opportunities to develop work habits. Coping with the workload comparable to loads in normal conditions and gradually gain confidence in direct communication with the client/patron/customer are paramount. Finally, they will be developing their own initiatives, autonomy, and independence from social services and the creation of a permanent interest in disadvantaged people in training and improving job skills What are the activities and experience of the organisation in the areas relevant for EU funding projects? The goal of our NGO is to create EU opportunities for our target groups to better improve their awareness of the European dimension and European citizenship, to support international cooperation and intercultural understanding, to promote lifelong learning opportunities and to help the development of individual interests and positive life attitudes, to support prevention of risky behaviour mainly for children and youth, to strengthen international cooperation in order to share knowledge, ideas, and experience, to better develop activities, to create complementing opportunities, employment, and to fight social exclusion, support rural development and healthy lifestyles. The organisation is working on the youth field from 2013 with the focus on involving socially excluded youth, also for those who came from a socially disadvantaged background.
