Domka - Association of Salesian Youth

Domka is an association of Salesian youth with centres in all Slovak regions. The foundations of the activities are built on systematic, regular and long-term work with the young. This is reached by means of peer groups, interest clubs or centres with a low-threshold character. Other typical activities are: educational courses, camps, sport activities, cultural activities and spiritual activities. The primary target group concerns young people between 14 and 25 years old. However, thanks to the long-serving and educated members it is possible to broaden the target group to 8 - 30 years old. The five main aims are: to accompany the young in their growing process; to create space for the youth engagement; to offer trust, responsibility and support according to the age and skills of the young; to accompany the young in personal growth into brave citizens and good Christians; to follow up with the educational experience of St. John Bosco.
